We are trying to raise funds to replace the uniform that all members and leaders wear. Over the past few years the uniform has been under change, due to reasons such as not being able to any longer get the supply we needed; and this month the new updated uniform has been launched to coincide with our 125th year anniversary in a couple of years. However since the beginning of the year we have focused on encouraging all our members to obtain the uniform that was in place as we have found encouraging them to wear it helps them to feel like they belong. The new uniform change means requesting that the parents purchase the new uniform again within a matter of months of already purchasing some, we are aware that this may cause some hardship for some families. As such we have discussed fundraising as we would prefer to keep all the members in the same uniform as we have noticed in the past that when we have transitioned from one uniform to another it can cause issues with some members.
The new uniform consists of the same items as the one currently used but each section has now got its own colour and its own logo on the item of clothing. Our members have to wear a polo shirt with a hoodie and a badge/book bag which contains all their badges and awards they achieved. Leaders have the option to all wear the same colour polo shirt and hoodie or they can wear the colour of the section they are currently leading.
